UPWARD BASKETBALL AT HBC

Upward is a non-for-profit ecumenical organization welcoming children from all faith backgrounds. In Upward, every child is a winner! One of the best parts is that the practices are once a week, on a predictable day and time, and the games only occur on Saturdays during January and February. The referees ensure children learn the fundamentals of the sport and the team members are assured equal playing time throughout the game. It is a genuinely positive experience for the child, the parents, and the community.

UPWARD CHEERLEADING AT HBC

The Upward Cheerleading Program is a wonderful way to be involved in a team sport while focusing on God. Real cheers are taught and cheerleading will be an active part of game days. What an exciting opportunity for your child to share in something special.

2010-2011 Season

This year we will be registering Kindergarten - 8th Grade Boys and Girls. The completed registration form and fee may be dropped off at the church office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Friday, or mailed to:

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
The early registration cost per child for basketball and cheerleading is $70. After October 22, the cost goes up to $80.
The registration deadline is November 5.
Basketball shorts or cheerleading mock turtlenecks are included in the registration cost.

EVALUATION AND ORIENTATION:
Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation or cheerleading orientation. These will take place at the Hazelwood Baptist Church Gym as follows:
Friday, October 15, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Monday, October 18, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 19, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Friday, October 29, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
