The men will be having a BBQ from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Ben Blanton, owner of Blanton Construction Company, will be our guest speaker. He will be talking about men in the work place. The Soggy Bottom Baptist Boys will be entertaining us with their music. And as always we’ll have lots of good food. We plan on inviting men from other churches. Plan to come and bring your son or a friend!

There will be a new grief class beginning on August 20th at 6:30pm. It will be held in the HBC youth room.

Our annual picnic is scheduled for August 24 at the Hazelwood Aquatic Center at White Birch Park. The park offers a lazy/wavy river approximately 600 feet in length, a 360 degree bubble slide, play features, slides, and a kiddie wave pool. Come join the fun. We will gather at the park pavilion at 6 pm for a "bring your own" dinner. The aquatic center will be reserved for the HBC family from 7 - 9 pm. If you are interested in being baptized at the picnic, please call the church office or mark on your attendance card and place it in the offering plate.

We will enjoy Branson Landing on Monday Evening. There are several restaurants and shops to explore. There is a free nightly light and water show at 7:00 p.m. There is also a free (we think) trolley to ride in case you "shop ′til you drop"! Tuesday evening we will enjoy the new show, "Noah, the Musical", at the new Sight and Sound Theater. We will also have 4 Bible sessions together at the hotel.

On Saturday, September 13^th, the Hazelwood Worship Ministry will be connecting with our community through the Hazelwood Harvestfest parade. Come out and join the fun! Contact Rich for more information.

Sonflowers will be hosting a mini-retreat Friday, Oct 10^th thru Saturday, Oct 11^th in the HBC gym. Our lock-up theme is "Committed for Christ". It will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday and will end on Saturday. Breakfast will be served Saturday morning. Many special activities are being planned that will teach/show you how to grow closer to our Lord. STay tuned for more information as the day grows closer.
