Feel challenged to just take time for yourself? As women,
we all do. You are not alone. SONflowers is for women just like you. It's
an avenue to help you take time of yourself and the important things in your
life – your relationship with God and your relationship with other women.
Every Week:
Bible Studies:
Wednesday Mornings – 9:15
a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (Sept. to May course)
Community Bible Study
(Contact Angie Olmstead at 921-5158) This is an interdenominational bible
study with currently over 80 women meeting in small discussion groups and
to share a weekly lesson. Then all the ladies gather for a teaching time.
This year's Study: Servants of God. Learn more about the Bible and understand
what it has to say to you personally. Discover how God's Word can give you
answers to your life and experience the fellowship of a caring community.
There is also a nursery, preschool and home school age program available.
For more information about CBS, check www.communitybiblestudy.org.
Prayer Meetings Check with the church office for the current schedule.
Throughout the Week:
"Needs A Woman's Touch"
– There are many places and ways to join in God's work through
different ongoing church projects. Work together with other women so it goes
faster and everyone has more fun. This is a great way to get to know new friends
and make behind-the-scenes contributions to our church family.
- Wednesday Night Family Dinner
– meal preparation, serving and cleaning up. You can help
weekly or occasionally, depending on your schedule.
- Decorating and Gardening –
from one end of the building to the other, "A Woman's Touch" is needed
to make things nice. Banners, plants, flowerbeds, decorating projects –
if you enjoy making your church "home" special, contact Sheila McMIchael
or the church office.
- Nursery Linens –
take turns caring for the little ones of our church by taking home linens
and sheets to wash that are used in our preschool and nursery. Contact Toni
Hiles or the church office to be included in this special behind-the-scenes
ministry.
- Food Pantry – our
community is nourished in more ways than one. You can help in different
ways, from straightening out the storage shelves, to shopping, to contacting
other churches and suppliers, and even preparing holiday baskets for the
needy. Contact Joanne Sampl or the church office.
Every month:
- Ladies Night Out
– 1st Sunday Night of each month - 7:30 p.m. to?
This is a wonderful
fellowship time for adult women of all ages. Bring a friend or just come to
meet some new friends. Check the SONflowers Bulletin board for each month's
restaurant.
(Contact Christy Treischmann at 731-2244) What a fun way to
make friends and finish your scrapbook and cropping projects together. Share.
Laugh. Make new friends that can last a lifetime.
(Contact Alberta Hutsler at 921-0181) Join together
with women who share your heart for caring for God's children. Share the joy
and service that makes meaningful contributions to our community.
Special Events:
